“I always get to where I'm going by walking away from where I have been.”
― Winnie the Pooh, A. A. Milne

Hi, I'm Armando Cruz
Armando Cruz is a craftsman of language. His career combines erudition and sensitivity, shaped by a solid background in Romance Philology and Translation (French–Portuguese), with a focus on the intersections between language, literature and culture.
More than teaching languages, Armando cultivates linguistic experiences like someone who composes chamber music: with precision, listening and refinement.
Founder of Fragmentos do Verbo, a space where language teaching is treated as an aesthetic, philosophical and personalized practice, he proposes a true linguistic tailoring: each student is unique, and each path is tailor-made — like a verbal suit that dresses the thought.
Based on this same philosophy, he created Kingstown College by Armando Cruz, a language center with a cosmopolitan studio atmosphere, focused on developing globalized minds with a humanist foundation. There, language is a bridge — and also a mirror. The mission is not only to teach the language, but to develop repertoire, cultural awareness and presence in discourse.
Throughout his career, Armando Cruz has been a reference for those seeking more than fluency: those seeking depth, style and authenticity when expressing themselves in another language.
Their teaching spaces are, at the same time, places of thought and elegance. In them, learning is an act of beauty and listening — always among letters.
